So as everyone knows unless you’ve been living under a rock (lol), Rihanna came out with her amazing makeup line which launched for Sephora. It has been one of the most talked about makeup releases in a very long time + as a woman of color, I’m very proud we are included right of the jump.
You can read many many articles about this line so I won’t ramble on too much but I will share with you what I bought + a video on how it looks on my skin type + tone.

Here is the larger display at Sephora. You can hear at the end, one of the staff tells me I have beautiful skin. Of course, I got shy like I always do like the derp I am lolol.
WHAT I PURCHASED:
Pro Filt’r Instant Retouch Primer SIZE 1.08 oz/ 32 mL Cost: $32
This is a swatch of the primer. Very smooth + creamy but not at all oily. Melts right into the skin + has a light fall like/spicy sweet scent.
Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation Shade: 450 SIZE 1.08 oz/ 32 mL Cost: $34
This foundation goes on smoothly + dries down quickly to a soft matte. The product does oxidize slightly but nothing too crazy in my opinion. You don’t feel like you’re wearing foundation, it just feels like skin!
Invisimatte Blotting Powder SIZE 0.3 oz/ 8.5 g Cost: $32
The cushion is nice + I use it for on the go purposes but not for my daily application. It’s soft + the back has this faux leather texture. Simple + classy.
Here you can kind of get a look at the packaging. It’s white with this shimmery purple pearlescent effect. Very pretty!
Precision Makeup Sponge 100 Cost: $16.00
This sponge is very similar to the Beauty Blender in regards to the feel of it. It’s also latex free so it work for those who may be allergic to latex. I like this one a lot + it blends really nicely.
Match Stix Matte Skinstick SIZE 0.25 oz/ 7.10 g Cost: $25.00
This Match Stix is in Espresso. It was the deepest shade + I thought I would try it for contouring + it worked really well + blended out beautifully + easily.
Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter SIZE 2 x 0.12 oz/ 3.5 g Shades: Ginger Binge/ Moscow Mule Cost: $34.00
I swatched both colors + the Moscow Mule shade is a bit more pigmented + shimmery. The colors are very cooper/rose gold like + just looks so so pretty!
Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer SIZE 0.30 oz/ 9 mL Shade: Fenty Glow – shimmering rose nude Cost: $18.00
This gloss is so nice. It’s not sticky and just feels really nice on the lips. It has a candy sweet scent + reminds me of Starburst. It’s a pretty nude mauve/brown + just looks good on every skin tone. It also has nice little gold shimmers in it but it’s not over the top.
Over all, I am really impressed with the first launch of Fenty Beauty + I cannot wait to see what else she comes up with because this is a brand I would highly recommend to try out. Check out my video below demoing the items I purchased!
