I am back with another cool blog post + this one is a unboxing/mini review thanks to Influenster and YSL!!! WOOT WOOT!!!!!
So again, it’s taken me much longer than I wished to find time to blog + I’m sorry about that but life happens + that comes first! Priorities!! Lol. Anyhoo…I had the pleasure of receiving the reformulated YSL Faux Cils Mascara (Which can be found here!!) + I must say, it is bomb!!
If you follow me on Instagram or see my feed here on my blog, you may have seen my “before + after” shot wearing the mascara. It’s amazeballs!!!! Check it out below!!
The Mascara is $32 but I feel it’s completely worth it. Why? Well, it has luxurious packaging, it smells beautiful, the formula is smooth and doesn’t clump after 2-3 coats and makes your lashes look full and luscious… like wearing faux lashes!!
All in all, I give this mascara 5 stars. I’m totally in love with it right now + I receive so many compliments on my lashes when I wear this. Definitely a keeper. It’s a yes from me!
Until Next Time…
LOVE, PEACE, AND SHOPPING RECEIPTS!
Note: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.”
I have had a heck of a week which I will update you guys on once I’ve had a moment to rest + get myself sorted. Until then, I have a new review for you!!! Yay!!
I was lucky enough to try out the MONAT Rejuveniqe Oil (Click here to read more about the product) + I must say, I am impressed! This product has improved my hair so so much. The product is said to help minimize thinning hair, add in needed nutrients + can promote hair growth. The oil smells nice + light but luxurious! The cap to this is a dropper which is really nice because you can control the amount of product you use…a little goes a long way (I show this in a vid on my instagram). The packaging looks amazingly sleek + chic + just really draws your eye to it! Definitely a beautiful high end goodie you must try out!!!!
HOW I USE IT:
After I wash my hair, I pat dry really well with a town then apply some leave in conditioner, After .I brush/comb my conditioner through, I add in the oil to my ends and then I massage it into my scalp. After those steps, I just let my hair air dry + once it does…OMG, my hair is so so soft + shiny. BEAUTIFUL!!
MY OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I totally give this product a 5 out of 5 because not only did I see instant result after my first use (and still to this day), but I have seen growth as well + that’s major for me since I’ve been trying to grow my hair out + for a bit it grew then just stalled but this definitely gave it that extra boost to start growing again. Oh + I forgot, you can use this on your body as well!! The only con I think of at the moment is the price. On the website this product retails for $99!! That’s a lot of money but if you want to splurge….DO IT!! Hahahaha. All in all, I am happy with this product + once I’m out I will probably purchase this again + try more of the MONAT products as well.
I hope this was informative for you + I will be back soon with more post so stay tuned!!
Until Next Time…
I hope you are all well!! I know I have been gone for way too long + I truly apologize! As you know I tend to be very busy with life + sometimes those things absolutely come first!! I have also been making YouTube videos so definitely check those out! I plan to do a life update video soon so I can let you all know how I’ve been getting on!
Today I am going to do a quick review for you on the Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery cream I received from iFabbo (check out this product here http://bit.ly/DSRSPF50). I could not use this product all over my face for too long because it ended up being too heavy for me + made my skin even more oily (I have oily/combo skin).
Price: $65 for 1.7 oz
Dermalogica is a well know skin care line + seems to be talked about a lot but for me this wasn’t the best option. I want to try more of their products but something that’s oil free + works with sensitive skin! The product is actually nice in the since of all the benefits it has, especially SPF50! I now only use it in my under eye are to see if it will help with fine lines…I will let you know after further research! 😉
Below I have entered zoomed in photos of the packaging details which list ingredients, info, + just additional information I felt you all might find helpful!
RATING AND OVERALL THOUGHTS
Overall I rate this product a 3 out of 5. It have great benefits but it was just not right for my particular skin type. I will continue to use it under my eyes to see if maybe it will work as an eye cream for me during the day. Trail + error are always going to be the case when it comes to skin care + not everything is for everyone however, I hope you guys give this a try + see how it works for you!!
I will back real soon so keep an eye out for some new stuffs!!! ^_^ ♥ ♥
Until Next Time…
I am back today with a review of a new product that I’ve been trying out. So I am majorly into skincare and anytime I get a chance to try something new and cool, I am all for it. The product I received is the Even Glow Serum from Valentia Skin Care.
Right off I want to say that not everything is for everyone so if it doesn’t/does work for me of course it may/may not work for you…on that note, this product did not work for me. 😦
I have really sensitive combonation/oily skin so sometimes just sunlight breaks my skin out. This product was unfortunately one of those factors that caused my skin to react negitively however, this could work great for someone with less sensitive skin!
This product seems to be something that would provide amazing benefits and has some ingredients in it that I know has work wonders for a lot of people but in combination, make my skin break out in a rash. I sampled a few areas and had the same reaction in each area.
Overall, I again feel this products has potential. The scent is nice and smells like orange citrus. The color is also an orange color and looks like a natural shade not bright and artificial. The serum absorbs into the skin quickly and doesn’t feel sticky at all. very nice texture. If you don’t have sensitive skin, I think this will work for you. Give it a try and see how your skin benefits from it! Hope you found this helpful!!
UNTIL NEXT TIME…
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
I have tried many monthly subscriptions but I haven’t tried many beauty based ones, sooooo, I decided to cancel my Ipsy/Glam Bag subscription and start a Birchbox subscription. Hmmm, I don’t know how I’m going to like it but lets see what this first one has to offer shall we!?
The Birchbox is $10 a month which was a fair trade since the Ipsy bag was the same, so I was cool with that. When I first opened the box the first thing I thought was, “Hey…the box interior is really cute!” If I’ve never mentioned it before (which I don’t think I have lol) I really love the chevron pattern as well as stripes, so this caught my eye. The items in the box were wrapped nicely in a light blue paper which I also liked…it’s the little the things that matter ;}. There were two inserts on top of the wrapped paper, a description card of the items inside and a cute little card with a tip of the day on it.
Inside was a KIND bar, Fekkai shampoo sample, Gilchrist + Soames Spa Therapy Body Wash, Sumita eyeliner pencil, and Hello perfume by Harvey Prince. The KIND bar was okay, it was good but not great. I may try other flavors but this particular one (Pumkin) I wasn’t very crazy about. The other items I haven’t tried yet but when I do you better believe your fashionable bottoms, you’ll be the first to know!!
Have you tried Birchbox? If so, let me know what you think and what was your favorite item! I want to know if you think it’s worth continuing with!! This one was okay but I hope this month has something more exciting to offer! Well that’s all for today but I’ll be back with more soon lovelies!
Until next time…
I don’t get to shop much these days due to limitations in my work life but when I do, I love to try out new hair (another review coming soon) + skin care products. I love Asian brands because they do wonders for my skin + they really know their stuff when it comes to skincare!!
Product: Cleansing Oil
Price: I bought mine for about $13
Where to buy: Amazon.com or Similar formula by Kracie on Sasa.com
Overall, I really like this product. I use this product strictly as a makeup remover + it does the job well! How I use it, is I dampen my face with warm water then I add some of the product onto a cotton pad + wipe my skin clean. It’s very simple to use + gets all the makeup off quickly however, I accidentally got it in my eye and it took a moment to clean it off my contact! The oil didn’t sting but it left a bit of film on my contact.
When you mix this with water it turns into a milky consistency much like bath oils. I love the fact that it has a pump because that helps cut down on bacteria transfer + mess. So far, I haven’t had any irritation, breakouts or issues with this oil which is lovely because I have combo/oily skin that’s VERY sensitive! The pricing for this is not bad either because a little goes a long way + since I don’t wear makeup everyday, it should last me a good long while.
The oil is very light, it doesn’t feel thick or sticky at all, it’s very smooth + silky which I like. I wasn’t expecting that because this is my first time ever using a cleansing oil. All in all, I hope I end up loving the product + it becomes a staple in my skin care routine! Let me know if you have ever used this brand or any others that you feel are awesome!!
Until Next Time…
LOVE, PEACE + SHOPPING RECEIPTS!!
Style, Beauty, blogs + really annoying situations! These are all the great things you can see on Bravo’s Blood, Sweat and Heels. Let me tell you how I feel about this show so far (2 episodes in).
At the start, this show seemed to be about really educated, savvy + fashion forward females in New York. I am a sucker for fashion as most of you know so I wanted to watch + see what it was all about. So far, I like the silliness of Mica Hughes (even though she can go a bit overboard when drinking) + the Strength + realness of Demetria Lucas. However, I am completely annoyed by Daisy Lewellyn with her very over the top selfishness (being selfish is the ugliest thing no matter how much money you have or how fabulous you think you may be) + her archaic mentality. Melyssa Ford is okay but I definitely feel she needs to work on growing up. She’s much too grown to be rolling her eyes + acting like a 12 year old.
Again, there have only been two episodes so I haven’t really gotten a feel for the other characters or I just checked out whenever they came on screen. I am not sure, but I know they did not grab my attention + if I did pay attention, it probably wasn’t a good reason. I actually thought that this show may be a tad bit different than other reality shows but I was wrong. Ratings are all about the drama. I have enough drama in my day without watching someone else air theirs, so with that said, I most likely will end this series with those two episodes.
Oh, before I forget…Daisy said she didn’t like bloggers because they just sit behind a computer + type + are probably unattractive (see Ep. 1)…Hahahahaha that cracked me up because I’m really quite sexy + fashionable + the reason I blog is because it’s fun + a great way to meet others. Also, I never say anything on a blog that I am not willing to say to someones face. How can you make a judgement about a group of people if you don’t know those people. *Shakes head* poor baby!
Well, that’s my quick take on what I think of the show based on what I paid attention to. Have you seen the show? What is your take on it? Leave a comment below if you wish to share your views.
