Hey all!

I have been away again…SO SORRY! OMG, work has me all kinds of cray cray right now. Most of the time after work I am so tired I don’t even want to look at another computer screen lol. WTF, I mean, I loooove blogging but I need a break sometimes from the cyber world….okay enough of that break.  🙂

So, I’ve been bored with my current handbags and thought hey…I want to go shopping and I want a new bag dagnabit!! I looked around online for a bit and remembered that I had a  Little Black Bag account and decided to see what they had to offer. Oh boy…this could be trouble…

LBB (Little Black Bag) was having an awesome deal where if you were a VIP member, you could buy a handbag and get 2…yes 2 free. That un-boxing will be coming soon but, the first bag I received was a solo order the day before the sale. This bag (bag in photos) is so spacious and shiny lol, It’s faux leather and has two zippers on the side for decoration. The bottom front has studs and rhinestones and the interior has a zippered pocket and solid black interior. Super super cute and a little over the top!

The handbag is by LaTique and retails for $108.00 and through LBB it was$58.99 with shipping but I also received additional free gifts with my purchase so that just made the deal soooo much sweeter!

I cannot wait until next month to make another purchase. I did spoil myself this month and made two purchases from the site but hey, I work hard for my money and I feel I deserve to treat myself whenever I feel like it as long as I have my priorities in order…right? I feel that should be the case for EVERYONE!!

Hello all!!!

Sorry for being away forever…AGAIN! Lol. I started a new job and I needed to adjust and get use to my new schedule. Now that things are some what normal again, I will start creating more post!! It has been very interesting getting back to work because this field (insurance) is new to me and I have to learn so much. I’m not sure if I love this field but I’m doing what I gotta do!!

So, in regards to Youtube, I am not sure if I will be making videos any more and if I do, they will be very limited. I don’t feel like Youtube is that fun community that it use to be ack when I fjirst started. It seems to be all about popularity and making a buck instead of being a community of like minded people having fun and getting to know people (like what I signed up for). Who knows, we will see what happens I guess.

I must say, I love the Frizz Ease treatment especially since I got my hair cut and need to use my flat iron more often than before. I liked it so much I bought more. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo! EOTD #2 – #3 + My Foolishness

Hello everyone!!!!!

So sorry for the short hiatus, I started a new job + wanted to get adjusted + wanted to get use to my schedule + sleep patterns + all that jazz lol. Anyhoo…How have you lovlies been?? I’ve been pretty good, also working on doing a Doctor Who inspired makeup series soon! If you don’t know, I am absolutely obsessed w/ Doctor Who + have been a fan since I was 5. More info on my obsession later…

EOTD #2

So this is an EOTD (eye of the day) that I did back on 02.18.14. I thought it was a fun look that was inspired by a photo I saw on a beauty page I follow. In the photo the person used red eye shadow so I used it in a way that worked for me as well. I wore this look to work because it was simple but daring much like my personality hehehe.

MY FOOLISHNESS…

So, I started a new job which has been interesting. Things did not start off smoothly so I had a bit of an annoyance twitch for several days but hopefully that is behind me…hopefully lol. The new company is great though based on what I know of it so far + I am looking forward to learning more and excelling like I am made to do! I have met some pretty cool people so far + we seem to get on well + have a laugh here + there which is great! Helps the day go by faster!!

In my training class we set up a potluck which was really awesome because everyone loves a good spread of delicious foods! I made a vegetarian lasagna which was NOT vegan friendly because it was loaded with cheese chese, faux meat (100% vegetarian Morning Star Crumbles), veggies + MO CHEESE lol. Everyone seemed to enjoy it very much which was nice to see. 🙂  

There was lots of singing in my class too lol. My co worker + I like to keep the people entertained + have been nicknames Sonny +  Cher lololol.

EOTD #3

Okies, so my bf surprised  me with a  bday party recently (02.22.14) which was really cool because it was Doctor Who themed and everyone had on bow ties because ya know…bow ties are cool! Lol. Below is the look I wore thinking I was just going to dinner lol. If I had known, I would have had an awesome DW themed look lol.

Sorry, we don’t do Valentine’s Day!

Hey baby cakes!! Before I get started, I want to first say that yesterday was my 30th Birthday!! Woot Woot…AARP here I come! Lol. It was a very chill day + my bf says that he has a surprise of some sort for me to celebrate my bday so we will see what happens! Also, Bday haul video coming soon!!

Moving right along….

February, the month of Black History + Love…Ermmm, why is this limited to a month? Shouldn’t Black History + Love be celebrated, studied, showed all year around or is that just me? *side eye*

Anyhoo, there are so many post I see on Facebook + comments I hear from people saying…”I better get this, or we better do that for Valentine’s day”. I’m sorry, but it’s just not that important to me! Is Valentine’s day going to feed, clothe, support + provide jobs for the needy? If not, then I’m not worried about it.

My bf + I have been together slightly over a year now + decided we will not celebrate Vday in the traditional way because we love each other + give each other things all year around. We also decided that we will have a tradition (started last year lol) where we get a bottle of wine, a huge platter of 7 layer dip, a bag of tortilla chips + watch an awesome  movie! That’s bliss. No gifts, candy or anything Vday only based…A usual day!

The money that I would have spent, I can donate to an organization I support. I like this idea soooo much more! What do you guys think??

I love this press powder! It’s so fine + silky. Too bad I’ve hit pan because I don’t know if I will ever find this product again. I am pretty sure the cosmetic line has been discontinued for the brand. Mega sad face!! 😦

I like this perfume + sanitizer. They smell so yummy! Nom nom nom. The Fame perfume is not the normal scent I wear on a regular basis but it’s my in bag go to at the moment.

I love this palette! It’s the easiest go to palette and has every color I need for a quick neutral look. If I am running late or just want more sleep, I will do my makeup on the train or in a car…just depends where I’m going + this palette becomes my best friend!! I also can create a pretty simple smokey eye too!

My Two Scents: Review – Kracie Naive Cleansing Oil

Review time!!!!

I don’t get to shop much these days due to limitations in my work life but when I do, I love to try out new hair (another review coming soon) + skin care products. I love Asian brands because they do wonders for my skin + they really know their stuff when it comes to skincare!!

Review:

Overall, I really like this product. I use this product strictly as a makeup remover + it does the job well! How I use it, is I dampen my face with warm water then I add some of the product onto a cotton pad + wipe my skin clean. It’s very simple to use + gets all the makeup off quickly however, I accidentally got it in my eye and it took a moment to clean it off my contact! The oil didn’t sting but it left a bit of film on my contact.

When you mix this with water it turns into a milky consistency much like bath oils. I love the fact that it has a pump because that helps cut down on bacteria transfer + mess. So far, I haven’t had any irritation, breakouts or issues with this oil which is lovely because I have combo/oily skin that’s VERY sensitive! The pricing for this is not bad either because a little goes a long way + since I don’t wear makeup everyday, it should  last me a good long while.

The oil is very light, it doesn’t feel thick or sticky at all, it’s very smooth + silky which I like. I wasn’t expecting that because this is my first time ever using a cleansing oil. All in all, I hope I end up loving the product + it becomes a staple in my skin care routine! Let me know if you have ever used this brand or any others that you feel are awesome!!

Tips + Tricks #1 – Goodbye Ingrown Hairs, Hello Sexy Legs!!!!

Ingrown hairs are basically the Devil in disguise! I’m telling you, they hurt + are just so darn nasty!! I am blessed to be a natural curly haired girl + for as long as I can remember, I have had issues with ingrown hairs after shaving. Some people may say, “Just wax” or “Use a chemical hair remover”! I absolutely appreciate the suggestions but those options just DO NOT work for me. My skin is always left behind so irritated + for the bikini area….well….it’s not pretty! LOL

If you haven’t read my blog post about the Bliss Ingrown Hair Pads, you probably don’t know that those things about killed me! Hahaha, my skin was much too sensitive for them so I have been on a hunt to find a method that works for me + by Jove I think I’ve got it!! I am going to share with you what I do to obtain a close shave and keep ingrown hairs at bay!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

1. A cleanser or Mask that contains salicylic acid.

5. Argan Oil or some type of pure oil for the body.

STEPS:

1.  The first thing I did was research what kind of things help ingrown hairs + salicylic acid popped up. I thought that this would  be something awesome to try because it was something I had in my home already. I had a mask with salicylic acid in it and an exfoliating cleaner, so for a week (without shaving) I cleansed my legs with the cleanser and the day before, I used the mask on my legs (left on for 15 minutes while relaxing and wearing a face mask). I washed the mask off,  pat dried my legs + moisturized them.

2. On the day that you decide to shave, when you jump into the shower, wash the rest of your body and then use your exfoliating glove (and your favorite body wash) to gently exfoliate your le gs to help loosen the hairs + to remove any dead skin cells.

3. Next I apply the Bikini Zone gel to my legs + let it set for a moment. This product really works + helps to keep my skin irritation free…in all areas, including under the arms. Once that has set for about a minute or 2, I use a 5 blade razor. Man, a razor like this is magic!! I swear it gets all the hair + I highly recommend  them!

4. After you have shaved every area that needs it, gently exfoliate your legs/necessary area again. I have read that people actually shave a second time but that is up to each individual + not part of my actual routine.

5. Once out of the shower, pat dry your skin. You want to care for your skin not damage it! when your skin is still a bit damp, mix the oil of your choice together with the body butter, cream, or moisturizer of your choice and smooth onto your legs. Your skin should feel amazing after this!!

I love wearing silky or satin PJ’s after shaving my legs because they feel so smooth + silky! I always get compliments from the bf on how smooth my skin is and it’s because I take the time to care for it. You have to relax sometimes and this is a wonderful way to unwind + enjoy some time away from the busy world we are all a part of!
